The island, a paradise in the Indian, is an island of mystery. In the legend of Ramayana that took place over 1,700,000 years ago there is a story a bridge between India and Sri Lanka in the Palk Strait built by Ramayana to save his bride Sita. For many years this legend was ignored as mythology until recent science shows that man did exist in Sri Lanka as far back as 1,750,000 years ago and the NASA space images show a bridge made from chain of shoals that is man-made and now called, Adams Bridge. Could it be that the ancient description of those from other worlds is also true? You can decide that when you visit the mysterious island of Sri Lanka. There's so much history and rich legend in the country of Sri Lanka, each new bit of information will make you want to learn more.

No matter what your delight, the holiday villas of Sri Lanka are both a luxurious and affordable way to stay. Find a location close to as many of the sights you want to see and travel comfortably to their location. You don't have to choose the type of vacation you want since each area has so many different attractions. Stay a week and plan a new adventure each day. The haunting beauty and ancient culture is a heady treat to the psyche and soul.
